Some things you'll never say in a room.

Cohorts are good. They're not everything.

Working one to one takes two shapes, and both are normal.

Sometimes I come to you.

I reach out, we get coffee, and we build something over months -- a friendship with enough weight in ti that when a hard season comes, yuou already know who to call. Most of the men I've walk with longest started here, with nothing wrong.

Sometimes you come to me.

Something is going on and you can't say it to your elders, your staff, your congregation, or the men in your cohort. It's the marriage, o the money, o the private thing, or the fact that you're not sure you can do this another year.

You can say it to me. I've heard it. I've lived some of it. It doesn't leave.

What this isn't

I'm not your counselor or therapist. If you need one, I'll tell you, and I'll help you find a good one. What I offer is a man who has been in ministry forty years, who is not going to flinch, and who will help you think it though.
